Mrs. Prudie T. King, 80, of Ocean Isle Beach, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Louisville, Ky., on August 21, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Denny and Sally Jackson Teague. Mrs. King worked for a while at the pier in Ocean Isle Beach but will be most remembered for her devotion to raising and caring for her family. She was a member of Sunset Community Church.
Mrs. Prudie was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm King; a son, Marvin King; and six brothers and sisters.
Survivors include a son, Eugene King of Ocean Isle Beach; two daughters, Diane Carter of Ash and Debbie Condrey of Ocean Isle Beach; two sisters, Rosie Lowery and Peggy White of Evansville, Ind.; and eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 20, at the White Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel, Shallotte. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Wilmington. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
