David Lee Wooten, 53, ‘passed away peacefully while planning next fishing trip’

David Lee Wooten, 53, passed away February 10, 2016, peacefully in bed while planning his next fishing trip. He passed from complications of living his life full throttle for a little over five decades.

He leaves behind Tammie Craig, the mother of his children, Zanuyion, and his wife, Lisa, Shane and Shanna; his grandchildren, Lucas, Lyric and Kaylen; parents, John and Barbara; sister, Lisa Coley, and her husband, Bobby, and their two children, Melissa and Lee; along with many close friends including Gary and Vicki Weaver, Terry Clarke, and her daughter, Jessie Gibson, Steve Huffman and many more; as well as his fishing buddies.

A celebration of David’s life will be held Saturday, February 20, at 3601 Brookhaven Court, Greensboro, N.C. 27406. The celebration will start at 2 p.m.; please come ready to rock, wearing anything tropical or rock-n-roll. No dressy clothes allowed.
