Elisabeth Jane Williams, 89, of Southport passed away Sunday, February 8, 2016, at Dosher Nursing Center.

Mrs. Williams was born November 24, 1926, daughter of the late Jessie G. Stump and Ida Mae Durst Stump. She graduated from Palmer Business School and worked as an executive secretary. Mrs. Williams also worked for 22 years in church preschools in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Florida. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church in Daytona Beach for 15 years. She and her husband moved to Southport and attended Southport Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Harry Williams of Southport; son, Richard J. Williams and wife Patricia of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania; daughter, Linda May Hilaman and husband Dr. Brad of Southport; four grandchildren, Amy Lubell, Lisa Sasser and husband Dustin, Joseph Hilaman, and Wendy Wheeler and husband Bob; five great grandchildren, Mallory Lubell, Brandon Lubell, Bobby Wheeler, Jake Wheeler, and Olivia Wheeler.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Southport Baptist Church Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Southport Baptist Church, 200 N. Howe Street, Southport, North Carolina 28461.
