June Ann Keeter Pilley, 69, of Carolina Beach, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice.

Born Oct. 22, 1946 in Roanoke Rapids, she was the daughter of the late Neal McCrae Keeter and Myrtle Audrey Gums Keeter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2003 by her husband of 27 years, James Allen Pilley.

June had been employed as a title searcher for a law firm, a job which she enjoyed so much that retirement was difficult. She loved the beach and listening to beach music. In her leisure, she liked to read novels. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

June is survived by her children, Jami Naples (Andrew) of San Antonio, Texas, Leigh Pilley of New York and Neal Boone of Virginia; her grandchildren, Haley Naples, Summer Boone, Jeffrey Vrooman and Kira Vrooman; her sisters, Gail Holder (Norman) of South Carolina and Donna Hight (Al); and numerous extended family.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 at Cedarwood Cemetery in Weldon.

Please leave online condolences for the family at Andrews Mortuary.
