Two women and two men face multiple charges in connection with an armed robbery of a 39-year-old man at knifepoint on U.S. 421 in New Hanover County.
The man met up with two women he met online in the 3800 block of U.S. 421, North, at about 7 p.m. Monday, according to New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Lt. Jerry Brewer. The two women pulled a knife on the victim and demanded money.
The women took the man’s money, then entered a vehicle and left the scene. The man followed the women and notified law enforcement of what had just happened though a 911 call, Brewer said. New Hanover County Sheriff’s deputies and officers with the Wilmington Police Department in the city’s Downtown Task Force, arrested the women and two other men inside the vehicle following a stop along North Fourth Street.
Kassey Elaine Robinson, 18; Tiffany Diane Duncan, 26; Richial William Stroman, 21 and Adrian Terrell Elliot David, 21, were arrested and face felony charges, Brewer said. Each suspect was charged robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a schedule VI controlled substance and possession of marijuana paraphernalia, according to jail records.
Duncan and David were booked at the New Hanover County Jail under $50,000 secured bonds. Stroman was booked under a $60,000 secured bond. Robinson faces additional charges of carrying a concealed weapon other than a gun and failure to appear on a misdemeanor. She was booked under a $57,500 secured bond.
