Carol Ann Noble, 82, remembered as a ‘loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister’ is your source for free news and information in the Wilmington area.

Carol Ann Noble, 82, of Wilmington, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 15, 2016 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center.

She was born on Aug. 3, 1933, in Charleston, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Charles Almond Noble and Gestel Marie Davis Noble. Also remembered is her daughter, Rhonda Sherman and a son-in-law, Tracy Herring, both of whom preceded her in death.

Carol was a wonderful woman and will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

Surviving is her husband, Lawson Pugh; three daughters, Melanie Herring, Heather Hyatt and Mindie Harmon; former son-in-law, Kenny Harmon; son-in-law, Guy Sherman; seven grandchildren: Cole Herring, Fawn Herring, Gary Hyatt, Rebecca Hyatt, Vivia Harmon Sosa and husband Carlos Sosa, Lee Sherman and William Sherman; three great-grandchildren: Carson Herring, Connor Harmon and Savannah Sosa; sister, Judy LeGrand Holley and husband Roosevelt; one brother, Vandel Noble and wife Arlene; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22 at Cape Fear Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Patrick Hall officiating. Entombment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
