Randolph ‘Randy’ Waller, 76, had ‘the gift of bringing people together’

Randolph “Randy” Waller, 76, of Hampstead died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015 at home.

He was born on Sept. 23, 1939 in Nichols, South Carolina to the late William and Celia Waller. Randy is also preceded in death by his twin brother, Rudolph, and brothers, Herman and Jimmy.

Randy is survived by son, Randolph Alan Waller (Charlene); daughter, Jennifer Waller LeRay (Jason); grandchildren, Maddux Waller, Regan Waller, Ella LeRay and Jude LeRay; sisters, Betty Davis and Billie Watts; longtime companion, Delores Ann Whitman; her daughter, Clarissa Kosh; her granddaughters Erina Kosh and Valeria Kosh; and her great-granddaughter, Ariane; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Randy was the owner of Sentry Fence Company providing residential services for the Wilmington and surrounding area prior to his commercial contract work. He retired as a contractor with Duke Energy Progress after 30 years.

Randy was a beloved man to all who knew him. He knew no stranger and had the gift of bringing people together. Please join us as we celebrate his life and share in the memories of one who has been precious to us all.

Family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30 at Topsail Baptist Church, 18885 U.S. 17 N. in Hampstead, with a celebration of life service immediately following. Pastors Bryan Griffith and Richard Marshburn will be officiating. Burial will follow at Sea Lawn Memorial Park in Hampstead.
