Police: Man robs Scotchman at knifepoint

Detectives with the Wilmington Police Department are investigating an armed robbery at a Scotchman off Eastwood Road.

The armed robbery happened when a white male robbed the store clerk at knifepoint at about 12:23 a.m. Tuesday at the convenience store located at 610 Eastwood Road, according to Cpl. Leslie Irving. The suspect went behind the counter, took cash from the register and left the store.

Police tried to track the suspect using a K9 but were unable to find him, Irving said. Officers are searching for a white male suspect who is about 30 years old. He wore a green beanie hat, a green jacket and dark blue pants.
