Pamela Davenport Palmeter, age 63, of Wilmington joined her Caroline in Heaven on Friday December 25, 2015.

Pam was born in Charlotte, NC on July 19, 1952 and was the daughter Sue Gregory Davenport and the late Plato Wilson (P.W.) Davenport of New Bern, N.C. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Caroline Leigh Palmeter, as well as a sister, Ashley Davenport Jackson and a brother E. Scott Davenport.

She graduated from Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Charlotte class of 1973. She worked in nursing for almost 40 years. She worked as a nurse at New Hanover Regional Medical Center for 33+ years primarily in the NICU with the premature babies. For over 20 years every Thursday morning you could find her at her weekly Precept Bible Study at MGEPC. She also enjoyed the ladies at her Water Aerobics Swim Classes.

She is survived by a daughter, Candice Palmeter of Wilmington and sister, Bonnie Simmons of Kinston. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and close friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel. The family will see friends following the service.
