As part of our look back at 2015 in the Cape Fear Region, we asked the New Hanover County Library about their most popular titles among patrons this year.

Books that are parts of series were popular, particularly in the children’s and young adults categories. Classics by Dr. Seuss, Lois Lowry and Suzanne Collins were also among the top books in those genres. “The Girl on the Train,” a psychological thriller by British author Paula Hawkins that was a New York Times bestseller for several weeks this year and is already being made into a film, topped the fiction and e-book categories. Veteran novelists David Baldacci and John Grisham both had multiple titles on the fiction and e-books lists, respectively.
