James David Seavy, 85, of Wilmington, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015 at Northchase Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
James was born on July 15, 1930, in Portland, New York, the son of Ernest Seavy and Roberta Flashman Seavy.
He served with honor and distinction in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean conflict.
James is survived by his wife Carolyn Simpson Seavy; son George Seavy; daughter Barbara Price; grandson Travis Price; granddaughter Harper Riley; a sister, Mary Murphy; and niece Peggy Weary.
The family will gather for a memorial service at noon on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at Wilmington Funeral Chapel. A presentation of military honors will be rendered in recognition of James’ honorable and faithful service to his country.
