The 59th Annual Pop Warner Super Bowl is underway at the Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida and the Wilmington Eagles scored 13 unanswered points in the second half to pick up a come-from-behind 19-16 victory over the Naperville Chargers (Illinois) on Saturday night.

Trailing 16-6 with 2:26 to play in the third quarter, Wilmington ran a reverse for big yardage to get the ball inside the Naperville 20-yard line. A one-yard touchdown run later in the drive made it a three-point game headed into the final frame.
With 8:37 remaining, Wilmington connected on a 70-yard touchdown pass to grab the lead, ultimately recording a big sack down the stretch to preserve the win.
The Wilmington Eagles face Ward 5 Warriors of Washington D.C. in the second round of the eight-team tournament at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8. The winner advances to the championship game later this week.
The Tamiami Colts (Florida) and West Elmwood Intruders (Rhode Island) square off in the other semifinal matchup on Tuesday.
