Tina Montgomery Wall, devoted mother and ‘Nana’

Tina Montgomery Wall of Rocky Mount passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her father Henry Alan Montgomery. Tina leaves behind her partner, Ricky Fipps; son, Christopher Montgomery and Christina; and daughter Brittany Wall and her partner Shonte McGee, to whom she was a good mother; as well as three grandsons Tristan, Luke, and Alex. She was a wonderful Nana, too.

She is also survived by her mother Linda Williams; sister Nina Peterson and husband Glenn Peterson; her brother and his wife, Taft and Wanda Ervin; nieces Sierra, Shyan, Chelsea, Kami, Cassie, Jarica and Kasidie; and nephews Ray, Carletus and Wesley. She also leaves behind her grandmother Beatrice Driver, Aunt Evelyn, Uncle Harry and her cousin and caregiver Lisa Fields.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28 at Sunset Park Baptist Church, 231 Central Blvd., Wilmington. The spreading of ashes will follow, if weather permits, at Carolina Beach State Park and the rocks at Fort Fisher. Family will receive friends and family at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to service.
