Mary Ann “Annie Fannie” Eason Watkins, of Wilmington, died Nov. 4, 2015, at the age of 74.

She was born in Wilmington on Feb. 19, 1941, daughter of the late Hubert Webster Eason and Margret Carney Eason. A brother, Danny Eason, also preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Joann Watkins; grandchildren, Wendi Smith (Douglas Smith), Tiffany Leigh, Stephen Leigh and JoLynn Leigh; brothers, Johnnies Eason and wife Marie and Andy Eason and wife Daphne; sister, Linda Eason; sister-in-law, Betty Eason; loving niece Brenda Mintz; and many more nieces and nephews.

Annie Fannie was a loving mother and proud grandmother. She loved her family and she was a great sister and aunt. She was a loving soul with a loving heart. She loved to laugh and be happy. Anne loved family get-togethers. She will be missed by so many. Rest in peace our sweet angel, until we meet again.

Family will receive friends at 4 p.m. Friday Nov. 6, 2015, at the home of JoAnnn Watkins, 170 Lake Forest Parkway, Wilmington. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at Andrews Valley Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to JoAnn Watkins.
