Spooky Sound Paddle Fest 2015

Want to get your feet wet before the trick-or-treating starts on Halloween? Join the family-friendly Spooky Sound Paddlefest, sponsored by the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra, in Wrightsville Beach on Saturday morning.

The non-competitive paddle boarding event, which is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to noon, will start and end at Wrightsville SUP at 96 W. Salisbury St. Standup paddle boards, canoes, kayaks and other non-motorized water craft will be navigating the approximately one-and-a-half mile long course. Participants are encouraged to come in costume and decorate their boards, and prizes for the best costume and strangest water craft will be given.

Admission to enter is $15. The event is held to benefit the WSO’s youth education programs, such as the Wilmington Symphony Youth Orchestra, Junior Strings, Richard R. Deas Student Concerto Competition and Family Free Concert.
