Harriette “PeeWee” Lee Wolfe Jones died peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was 89.

Born June 21, 1926, in Chester, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Beulah Lee Ashley and Arthur Monroe Wolfe. She graduated from Chester High School in Chester, South Carolina and was a faithful member of Winter Park Baptist Church in Wilmington for 52 years.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Edwin Newton Jones; brother, Robert M. Wolfe; sister, Jessie Mae Young; son-in-law, William (Bill) Pfeffer; and great-grandson, Exodus Hauser.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Jody Lee Jones Pfeffer, Susie Jones-Cook (David), Harry Andrew (Andy) Jones (Karen) and Edwin (Eddie) Newton Jones Jr. (Debbie); grandchildren, MiMi Smythe Tripp (Malton), Brooke Amanda Lee Stanley, Taylor Andrew Jones and Lauren Nicole Jones; great-grandchildren, Catelyn Tripp, Arianna Hauser, Malton Tripp III, Isaiah Hauser and Jentezen Hauser; twin brother, Harry Wolfe; and a host of family members and many friends.

Harriette touched many lives with her caring, nurturing nature.  She devoted her life to caring for her family and loved ones.  She worked at The Sterling House for 18 years, served as a Stephens Minister, taught Sunday School, GAÔs and left the lives she touched better for having known her.  Other interests included working with the home bound, cooking, sewing and various other crafts.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015, at Wilmington Funeral and Cremation, 1535 South 41st St., Wilmington.  A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, at Winter Park Baptist Church, 4700 Wrightsville Ave., Wilmington, with interment to follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Building or Bus Fund at Winter Park Baptist Church, 4700 Wrightsville Ave., Wilmington, NC 28403.

The family wishes to express deep gratitude to the staff at Trinity Grove, Wilmington, for their compassionate and diligent care of our loved one.
