Frances Jeanette Williams died peacefully Oct. 21, 2015, in Wilmington. She was 71.
Frances was born on March 24, 1944, in Fayetteville to George and Inza Williams. She lived most of her adult life in Langhorne, Pennsylvania and Carolina Beach. Frances was full of laughter and energy. She held nearly every job imaginable, notably as the manager and owner of the Paradise Cafe at Carolina Beach.
More importantly, Frances was an exceptionally generous person who put all others before herself. Her family will always have memories of walking along the beach with her collecting seashells, receiving care packages out of the blue and getting mocking sympathy cards when the Philadelphia Eagles were doing poorly. When others spoke of her, the words “I love Frances” or “Frances is awesome” or “How is your Mom? I miss Frances,” were often near.
Frances is survived and remembered by her brothers and sisters, Ruth Jones, Forest Williams, Joan Smith and Michael Williams; children, Donna Guy (Jeff), Michael Wilcox (Traci), David Wilcox (Katie) and Brian Wilcox (Shalee); and grandchildren, Andrew Guy, Timothy Guy (Breighana), Kelly Wilcox, Jacob Wilcox, Joshua Guy, Caitlin Wilcox, Ethan Wilcox and Benjamin Wilcox.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015, at Salem United Methodist Church, 2165 Middle Road, Fayetteville.
Please leave online condolences for the family at Andrews Mortuary.
