Dianna Louise Gasquez died Oct. 8, 2015, in Wilmington. She was 75.
She was born in Bismark, South Dakota on Sept. 10, 1940. Dianna graduated from Courtland State College in New York with a degree in education. After her career ended as a physical education teacher, she enjoyed coaching and judging women’s gymnastics.
A consummate mother and homemaker, Dianna loved to garden and decorate her home for the holidays. Christmas decorating was her passion and her home brought family and friends on a yearly pilgrimage to view the magic she made, turning it into a wonderland. All holidays were special at her house. She was also an avid reader and liked to camp and play board games.
Dianna was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Josephine Bartlett; husband, Joseph Gasquez; and two brothers, Raymond and Gordon Bartlett.
She is survived by her two brothers, David and his wife Diane and Tom; four children, Mark, Cary, Tim and Kimber and her husband Robert Hoelen; and five grandchildren Stratton, Courtney, Tyler, Remy and Jaden.
The family will be holding a memorial to celebrate her life which will be determined at a later date.
Dianna will be sorely missed and will live in our hearts forever.
