Carolina Beach police ask public to help identify donation jar thief

The Carolina Beach Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who stole a donation jar from a local restaurant.

The theft occurred at 8:57 p.m. on Sept. 13 at Pizza Hut, 1401 N. Lake Park Blvd. According to law enforcement, an unknown white male allegedly walked into the business, grabbed the donation jar and ran before leaving in a four-door gray vehicle.

The jar was being used to collect money for Light the Night Walk, a fundraising campaign benefiting The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and its funding of research to find blood cancer cures.
