Henry Rudolf Busch Jr.,72, Holden Beach Fantasy Isle Ice Cream and Miniature Golf co-owner

Henry Rudolf Busch Jr., of Holden Beach, died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, at the age of 72.

He was born in Aiken, South Carolina on Feb. 6, 1943, son of the late Henry Rudolf Sr. and Jewel Kersey Busch.

Prior to his retirement in 1991, he was employed by DuPont for 26 years as a design engineer. After leaving the company, he and his wife Elene owned and operated Fantasy Isle Ice Cream and Miniature Golf at Holden Beach for 24 years. He was an avid golfer and active in his church, the Holden Beach Chapel.

He loved people and enjoyed making friends from all over the world. He was a loving family man and devoted to spending time with family and friends. He and Elene celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June.

Surviving are his wife, Elene McGee Busch; daughter, Jan Busch, of Oakland, California; son, Mike Busch and wife Debbie, of Dacula, Georgia; grandchildren, Alexis, Connor and Ainsley Gillikin and Riley and Peyton Busch; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe and Margaret Campbell; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at Holden Beach Chapel by the Revs. Dr. John Gray and Dr. Lynn Brinkley.
