Marie Anderson Hall, of Wilmington, died Oct. 16, 2015, at the age of 76.

Marie was born to John Foster and Bertie Lee Anderson, of Hope Mills, on Jan. 11, 1939.

Marie is survived by her husband, Bernie O’Neil Hall, of 54-and-one-half years; youngest son, Robert N. Hall and daughter-in-law, Angela Hall with three granddaughters, Mary Alexis, Jessica Leigh and Ashley Marie Hall; middle son, Charles Foster Hall and granddaughter, Christina Lauren Hall; and eldest son, James Edwin Hall. Marie was from a large family with four brothers and three sisters.

Marie prided herself in being a professional legal secretary but more than anything she loved being a wife of a veteran, a mother, a grandmother and a true Christian woman. She loved unconditionally and forgave easily. She never met a person she didn’t like and had a tremendous amount of friends. She was the most caring Christian woman; if you needed anything, she would do everything in her power to help you out, friend or stranger, and would lift you in prayer.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service with the Rev. Eric Bell officiating and will proceed to Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made out Marie Anderson Hall at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service.

Please leave online condolences for the family at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service.
