Wilmington police have arrested two teens in connection with a drive-by shooting reported Monday night outside of a home on Varsity Drive.

Christopher Alan Leonard, 17, and Ryan Calvin Brinson, 18, face multiple charges including assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and felony conspiracy, according to Wilmington Police Department Spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay.

The incident occurred at about 11:20 p.m. Monday when two suspects in a Honda reportedly drove by a home in the 700 block of Varsity Drive and shot at four people in the front yard, Cpl. Leslie Irving said. No one was injured in the shooting but a home was hit by gunfire.

The incident allegedly started with a dispute over social media. The two suspects were arrested on Tuesday, Lindsay said.

Both Leonard and Brinson were charged with four counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and four counts of felony conspiracy. They were booked at the New Hanover County Jail under $100,000 secured bonds.
