District staff should report to work on their normal schedules.
Continued rain and flooding have prompted Brunswick County school officials to close schools Tuesday for students and staff. The board of education meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday night has been canceled. A shelter remains open at West Brunswick High School.
New Hanover County
UNC-Wilmington has reopened its campus as of 6 p.m. Monday; classes and all activities will resume normal operations at 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Cape Fear Community College will operate on a normal schedule Tuesday at all of its campuses.
Carolina Beach canceled their Parks and Recreation Committee meeting and their Police Advisory Committee meeting, both scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday night. They will reschedule at a later date.
The touring Broadway production of “Beauty and the Beast” will be performed, as scheduled, at 7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Cape Fear Community College’s Humanities and Fine Arts Center.
City of Wilmington offices will reopen Tuesday. The regularly scheduled city council meeting will also be held at its regular date at time at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Government offices will open at 11 a.m. Tuesday but the courthouse will remain closed.
Brunswick Community College will operate on a two-hour delay Tuesday, opening at 10 a.m.

Pender County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay for students Tuesday. Staff is to report on time, but may work with supervisors if there are safety issues.
