Josephine A. DiMaggio, of Wilmington, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice. She was 77.

She was born in Bronx, New York on July 29, 1938. Her parents were Charles and Josephine DiMaggio.

Josephine was a graduate of Evander Childs High School in Bronx, New York and a graduate of Belmont Abbey College in Belmont. She was retired as a parole officer with the State of North Carolina.

Jo is survived by her brother, Benedetto and wife Dorothy, of Valhalla, New York; brother, Joseph, of Valley Cottage, New York; brother, Alfred and wife Nora, of Severna Park, Maryland; sister-in-law, Josephine, of Bronxville, New York; sister-in-law, Camille, of Kissimee, Florida; sister-in-law, Sheila, of Shirley, New York; 30 nieces and nephews; and host of grand-nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at St. Jude Metropolitan Community Church, 19 N 26th St., Wilmington, NC 28405.
