She is survived by her husband, Jerry; sons, Al and Robbie; daughter, Loretta Cedar; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, David Wood; and sister, Shirley Durkee.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, at Sunset Park Baptist Church, 231 Central Blvd., Wilmington, with the Rev. Chris Wroten officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.

Her grandsons, Jason, Josh and Luke Hammond, Nathan Cedar and Corey Williams and longtime family friend, Jimmy Nelson, will serve as pallbearers.
