Lindsay Diab saved off a match point in the third set tiebreaker, rallying to win the final three points to earn a 6-4, 2-6, 12-10 victory at No. 5 singles.

Kara Ferner followed with a win at No. 1 to help the Vikings (3-5, 3-2 Mideastern) take a 4-2 lead into doubles.

At No. 2 doubles, Diab and Hannah Marable picked up an 8-1 win to seal the match.

Hoggard (3-5, 3-2 Mideastern) travels to South Brunswick on Monday.

Coastal Christian opened the St. David’s Invitational in Raleigh with a 5-0 shutout over Trinity Academy on Friday.  The Centurions improved to 9-2-1 overall.

Volleyball

Coastal Christian 3     Fayetteville Christian 0

The Lady Cents opened up conference play with a 3-0 win over Fayetteville Christian. Callie Weaver dominated from the service line with 10 aces and Sam Stanko led all hitters with nine kills.
