Carolina Beach Fire Department hosting open house is your source for free news and information in the Wilmington area.

IMG_8099The Carolina Beach Fire Department is opening their headquarters to the public this Saturday.

The open house will be at the department’s station at 9 S. Dow Rd. in Carolina Beach. The event will start at 2 p.m. with welcoming statements from the Carolina Beach Town Council. From 3 to 5 p.m., guests will be able to tour the station and meet their local firefighters and other staff members.

In addition to opening up their building, the department will also be giving tours of their fire trucks. Sparky the Fire Dog will be on hand to interact with the kids, and the Carolina Beach Police Department will be cooking hot dogs for guests to enjoy.

The event is a way for residents to not only see the Carolina Beach Fire Department’s updated station, but also to meet their local safety leaders and town officials. It is free and open to the public.
