Patrick Earl Gerhard Savage, of Wilmington, was a valiant soldier and beloved man who left his earthly life too soon. He died Sept. 6, 2015, at the age of 48.

He was born Dec. 30, 1966, in Germany, the son of William “Bill” and Monika Savage. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Jessica K. Savage; son, Tyler Savage; daughter, Brooke Savage; stepchildren, Hailey Rouse and Jordan Rouse; brother, Michael Savage; several aunts and nieces; one nephew; and many extended family and friends.

Patrick served proudly in the U.S. Army during Operation Desert Storm. Patrick was a kind man, always thinking of others. He loved his family, his country and his friends. He was loved and will not be forgotten.

A memorial service will be held at Windermere Presbyterian Church with day and time to be announced.
