The Seahawks stayed perfect at 4-0 on the season, while the Camels dipped to 2-3 and saw their modest two-match winning streak halted. UNCW improved to 31-15 all-time against the longtime rival.

Lott held match-high honors with her 13 kills and was the only player in the match to reach double digits. Senior middle hitter Meredith Peacock added nine kills and hit .538 for the match.

“The team really took care of business tonight, which is nice to see for an away match against a rival,” said UNCW Head Coach Amy Bambeneck. “Across the board there were many players that contributed offensively. Lindsay (Hartmann) did a great job anchoring our serve receive and defense.”

The Seahawks play Sacramento State at 10 a.m. Saturday and wrap up the tournament appearance with a 4:30 p.m. start against Norfolk State.
