Josh Chapman and Duenis Ariolla both found the back of the net in a 2-1 result for Ashley. Chapman raised his goal total with four scores on the year, while Ariolla finished his second tally of the season for the Screaming Eagles.

Ashley is 3-0 in non-conference play and face Cape Fear Academy on Thursday.

New Hanover 7    East Bladen 0

New Hanover got back in the win column with an emphatic 7-0 result over East Bladen at Legion Stadium on Wednesday. Jack Kiernan led the way with two goals and Foster Willis recorded two assists for the Wildcats, who moved to 3-2 overall.

Tristan Murphy scored four goals to guide West Brunswick on Wednesday night. John McNeil, Sam Zeng, Lincoln Smith, and David Cardenas also tallied in the result.



Ashley 3    Trask 1

After dropping the opening set Ashley rallied to pick up a 3-1 win over Trask. Kaycie Dotson served seven aces and Haley France finished with 12 kills as the Screaming Eagles moved to 2-0 overall under first-year coach Carly Noble.

Topsail 3    Pender 2

(24-26, 22-25, 25-18, 25-10, 15-3)

 Topsail improved to 3-1 overall after storming back from a two-set deficit to grab a 3-2 win over Pender on Wednesday night. Payton Shoenleber set up the attack with 26 assists, while Marlee Marrotta recorded 35 digs in a strong defensive effort. Madi Ford and Angelica Biele also finished with 14 points apiece for the Pirates.
