Police ID man who was found fatally shot in wrecked vehicle

A Wilmington man was shot and killed early Sunday morning.

Police found a man shot inside a vehicle in the area of South Sixth and Kidder streets at about 2:30 a.m., according to Wilmington Police Department Spokeswoman Linda Rawley.

A ShotSpotter activation indicated shots were fired in the area of South Seventh and Kidder streets, Rawley said. The vehicle was reportedly wrecked near Sixth Street.

The driver of the vehicle — 33-year-old Lutfee Muitsin Henderson – was pronounced dead on scene by New Hanover Regional Medical Center first-responders, Rawley said.
