A Wilmington man faces drug trafficking charges after detectives seized more than 3,200 bags of heroin this week.

Antonio Quintez Walker, 25, has been charged with trafficking heroin and conspiracy to traffic heroin, according to Wilmington  Police Department Spokeswoman Linda Rawley.

Walker was arrested late Monday evening after detectives searched two homes–one at 1208 Wellington Ave. and another at 8 Cypress Grove Drive–both of which he is known to frequent, Rawley said.

Detectives seized heroin estimated at $50,000 in street value, a shotgun and $2,700 in cash, Rawley said. The search was the result of a two-month investigation with members from the police department’s narcotics unit, the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and North Carolina Probation.

Walker was booked at the New Hanover County jail under a $5 million secured bond.
