Arnetta P. Harpine, 94, public health nurse who designed arts and crafts is your source for free news and information in the Wilmington area.

Arnetta P. Harpine, of Shallotte, died Sunday, July 26, 2015, at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick. She was 94.

Born in Pendleton County, West Virginia, on March 31, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Sallie Mitchell Propst. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Harpine.

She was a public health nurse for the state of West Virginia.  She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of St. Luke Lutheran Church, active in community affairs, a Bridge player and an avid arts and crafts designer.

Surviving are a daughter, Sue Conway (Ed) of Shallotte; son, James Harpine (Rhonda), of Waverly, Virginia; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015, at St. Luke Lutheran Church. Inurnment will follow at the church columbarium. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church.
