Robert Lionel “Bunky” Bellamy, of Shallotte, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center. He was 81.

Mr. Bellamy was born in Brunswick County on Sept. 27, 1933, the son of the late William Earl Bellamy and Ava Gray Bellamy.

Bunky was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Betty Mintz Bellamy, of the home; children, Joanie Gales, of Shallotte, Ricky Bellamy, Robbie Bellamy and Hugh Bellamy; special little grandchild, Robbie Tucker, of the home; daughter-in-law, Vykky Bellamy and sister, Eloise Gibson, both of Supply; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday July 25, 2015, at White Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte conducted by the Rev. Murice Milligan. Burial will follow at Silent Grove Cemetery in Supply. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jerry King, Joshua Mintz, Phil Gore, Billy Wayne King, Jimmy Hanes and Eddie Bellamy. Honorary pallbearers will be Allan Bellamy and Greg Bellamy.
