A man allegedly tried to rob Domino’s delivery driver Wednesday night.

Evan Tylor Gordon, 25, was arrested in connection with an attempted robbery that occurred in the 2300 block of Jefferson Street at about 9:35 p.m., according to Wilmington Police Department Spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay.

The suspect reportedly approached the driver, stated he had a gun and demanded money, Lindsay said. The 36-year-old victim refused to give the suspect money and hit him with a pizza box.

Gordon was reportedly arrested by police near the area of Shipyard Boulevard and Vance Street, Lindsay said.

According to jail records, Gordon has been charged with attempted common law robbery. He was booked at the New Hanover County jail under a $40,000 secured bond.

A 19-year-old man wanted in connection with a breaking and entering in Supply turned himself in to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday.

Zachary Sky Matthews, of Green Pine Drive in Supply, was wanted on charges of breaking and entering, felony larceny and injury to real property in connection with in incident at a Lewis Street home in Supply on Monday, according to sheriff’s office spokeswoman Emily Flax.

According an arrest warrant, Matthews is wanted in connection with breaking into the home and taking a microwave, a VHS and DVD combo player, as well as video tapes and DVDs.

Matthews also faces charges of misdemeanor larceny and resisting a public officer, according to court records. He was booked at the Brunswick County jail under a $500,000 secured bond.
