New Hanover Regional to present ‘A Night of Hope’ concert to benefit Zimmer Cancer Center is your source for free news and information in the Wilmington area.

New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC) and the NHRMC Foundation are sponsoring “A Night of Hope” featuring the band Building 429 for a community event that spreads awareness, encourages those battling cancer and raises money to help those in need.

The event is Aug. 24 at Port City Community Church, 250 Vision Drive. All proceeds benefit patients receiving treatment at Zimmer Cancer Center and tickets are on sale now, according to a news release from New Hanover Regional.

Building 429 is a Christian band that hit the music scene with the release of 2011’s “Listen to the Sound.” Their hit single “Where I Belong” was Billboard Magazine’s number one Christian song of 2012 and remained at the top spot for 15 weeks. Building 429 recently released its new album “We Won’t Be Shaken.”

NHRMC’s Zimmer Cancer Center is southeastern North Carolina’s only community cancer center dedicated solely to the diagnosis, treatment and support of people with cancer.
