Mary Marlowe Williamson, of Wilmington, died July, 19 2015, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice. She was 80.

Mary was born Feb. 5, 1935, in Columbus County, daughter of the late Lowell M. Marlowe and Lucille Suggs Marlowe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, H.P. Williamson Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Williamson, of Garner, Teresa Williamson Carroll and husband, Henry, of Wilmington, and Melanie Williamson Parker and husband, Mike, of Knightdale. She was blessed with eight grandchildren, Bradley, Allison, Hannah, Meredith, Jonathan, Sarah, Christopher and Kristina and three great-grandchildren, Bennett, Avery and Maggie. She is also survived by her brother, Dale Marlowe, and wife, Reba, of Wilmington, and sister, Betty FormyDuval, and husband, Wynn, of Nakina.

Mary was an active member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church for 60 years. She was a nurturing person who found her happiness in taking care of others. The last 20 years of her life were spent giving selflessly of herself to her community.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, Oleander Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2015, at the funeral home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Oakdale Cemetery.
