Jose Francisco “Frank” Reyes Jr., of Wilmington, died Saturday, July 18, 2015, at the age of 44. The world lost a great man.
Frank was born on Sept. 11, 1970, in Elyria, Ohio, to Adela and Dr. Francisco Reyes.
He graduated from Penn State University and received his master’s degree in marketing and business administration from Frostburg State University. He had a love for knowledge and intellect, and his ability to talk to anyone about anything was a remarkable quality.
Frank was a kind, caring and gentle man. He was a loving son, brother and Tio. Frank had a love for life, people and writing. His sense of humor was one of his best qualities and he enjoyed telling jokes and making people laugh.
He will be remembered for his love of karaoke and the cubs, his contagious laugh, his memorable dance moves and his unconditional willingness to help family and friends. His spirit will live forever among his family and friends through stories and memories of “Panchito.” He is now in his final resting place, with God, waiting for his loved ones to join him in a song.
Frank is survived by his parents, Francisco and Adela Reyes, and siblings, Alex and Flavia Reyes, of Miami, Florida, Gabriel and Jaclyn Reyes, of Raleigh, and Ana and John Lewis, of Miami, Florida. “Tio Frank” will be missed by his nieces and nephew, Myla Reyes, Viviana Reyes, Emme Reyes, Valencia Reyes and Rocco Reyes. His Donald Duck voice always brought smiles and giggles to the kids.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Wilmington.
