Greenlands Farm to host Half Hell music festival, tap takeover

Greenlands Farm, located in the area of central Brunswick County that was once known as Half Hell, will host a folk and Americana music festival next month.

The Half Hell Folk Music Festival, which will include a tap takeover by Southport’s Check Six Brewery, will take place at the farm, located at 668 Midway Road – between Bolivia and Supply – from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 1.

Beers on tap include Half Hell Creek Blueberry Ale, currently brewing with Greenlands’ blueberries, Wendy’s Blonde Ale, Hat in the Ring IPA, Wrong Way Corrigan Irish Stout.

Musical acts scheduled include Daniel Boling, Bonnie Allyn Band, Paul Obernessor, Brothers Egg and Christine Martinez. The festival will also include farm bingo games and fun for the whole family. Beer, wine and food will be available for purchase. Parking is available next to the farm store, but carpooling is encouraged.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the farm store or online. Children 10 and younger are admitted free.
