Bobby “Rooster” Ward died Saturday, July 11, 2015, at the age of 57.

Bobby was born in Wilmington on March 14, 1958, the son of Woodrow “Pee Wee” Mallard and Thelma B. Norris.

Bobby was a millwright and worked and traveled all over the country and the world, wherever the job took him. He loved his family very much and had much pleasure visiting and being with all of them.

Bobby is survived by his daughters, Amanda Beavers (Chris) and Kelyn Marion (Rick); grandchildren, Journey, Elijah, Boston, Cadence, Emil and Luci; sisters, Delores King (Ray), Trisha Collins (Clint) and Carolyn Vera (Frank); brothers, John Mallard (Carolyn) and Charlie Ward (Debbie); aunt, Sylvia Ryan; uncle, Walter J. Biggs; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Bobby will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at Cardinal Bands and Billiards, 5216 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington, NC 28412.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
