Judith A. Romanelli, of Wilmington, died suddenly on July 6, 2015, at the age of 66.

Judy was a loving wife, daughter, big sister, mother, stepmother and grandma who will be dearly missed. Her love and devotion will never fade away, her spirit is so close to us and will be remembered with such deep love and laughter through our cherished memories.

Judy was an avid reader who cherished time with her family, walks on the beach looking for seashells and dining out with her husband. She had a gift of gab and was a good listener for those close to her as well as people in her community, always chatting with them about their lives and adding advice, anecdotes and a good laugh.

Judy is survived by her loving husband, Richard Romanelli, of Wilmington; daughter, Erica Buonassisi, of Sebastopol, California; son, Matthew Buonassisi, of Lemoyne, Pennsylvania; stepdaughters, Tara DeLisle, of Whitefield, Maine and Katie Preston, of Moron, Spain; her siblings, Barbara Glover, Debbie Greer, Dwight Abrahams and Beth Eller; and adoring grandchildren, Haley and Ava Buonassisi, Riley, Mariam and Richard DeLisle and Elise and Alden Preston.

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation, 1535 South 41st St., Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Please leave online condolences for the family at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation.
