Dwayne ‘Big D’ Aycock, 47, enjoyed work as instrumentation technician with International Paper

Dwayne “Big D” Aycock, of Wilmington, died Friday, July 10, 2015, at his family’s home. He was 47.

He was born on Oct. 25, 1967, in Wilmington, the son of L.D. Aycock and the late Edna Raynor Aycock.

Dwayne always enjoyed his work as an instrumentation technician with International Paper. He considered his co-workers to be his “work family” and was always appreciative of their friendship and support, especially when he became ill. He loved hunting and fishing when he was away from work.

Surviving in addition to his father are his sister, Lynette Saunders; nephew, Taylor Dale Saunders; and his “second mother,” Millie Dunn. Dwayne also had many extended family members and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Andrews Mortuary Market Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens
