Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a person or people responsible for several break-ins recently reported in northern Brunswick County over the past few weeks.

According to Emily Flax, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office, most of the break-ins were reported in the areas of Malmo Loop Road, Maco Road and Funston Road in the Winnabow and Bolivia areas of the county.

“Witnesses have reported seeing a suspicious older model white truck, possibly a Ford or other American made truck, with black ladder racks and some possible damage to the front end, in the area,” Flax said.

Witnesses have also reported seeing a white man–about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10–who wore a blue shirt and khaki pants, as well as Hispanic or light-skinned black man of average build who wore blue pants. A third man was seen, but no clear description of the man was given to detectives, Flax said.

Anyone with information or who has seen the white truck or who may know the identity of those involved is asked to contact Detective Scott Bright at (910) 616-6240 or call 911.
