Jack Brinson Jr., of Wilmington, died Thursday, July 2, 2015, at his home. He was 76.
Jack was born on Jan. 12, 1939, in Onslow County, son of the late Jack Brinson Sr. and Linday Brinson. He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Jack was the founder and owner of Brinson & Sons Heating & Air, Inc. for 41 years. He was an expert gardener and loved to spend many hours tending to his vegetable garden. He also was an avid hunter. Most of all Jack loved being surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
Jack is survived by his wife of 52 years, Katherine Brinson; his three sons, Eddie and wife,Patsy, Greg and wife, Brenda, and Tim and wife, Kim; six grandchildren, Jackie, Hannah, Sam, Kaylyn, Andrew and Madison; five sisters; and two brothers.
The family received friends Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2015, at Scotts Hill Baptist Church, 185 Scotts Hill Loop Road, Wilmington. The Rev. Jimmie Suggs Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
