Genevieve Rose Dallmer, 93, ‘Love leaves a memory no one can steal’

Genevieve Rose Dallmer, of Wilmington, died Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Silver Stream Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was 93.

She was born in Brooklyn, New York, on Jan. 20, 1922, the daughter of the late Robert and Genevieve Cleary Morhard. Also remembered is her husband, John G. Dallmer, who preceded her in death in 1986.

Surviving are her five children, Laurie Webb (Tommy), Robin Calderaro, Jack Dallmer ( Peggy Ann), Donna Dallmer and Chris Dallmer; five grandchildren, John, Matt, Johnny, Robert and Travis; and a sister-in-law, Bee Del Piano (Nick).

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Wilmington National Cemetery.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Silver Stream Health and Rehabilitation Center for the loving care they gave Genevieve for many years.

The family would like to honor Mrs. Dallmer with a quote, originally found on a headstone in Ireland: “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
