Harry Lewis Clatterbuck, 87, retired Norfolk-Southern RxR Corp. chief claim officer

Harry Lewis Clatterbuck, of Sunset Beach, died Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was 87.

Mr. Clatterbuck was born on Jan. 29, 1928, in Baltimore, a son of the late Harry Lewis Clatterbuck Sr. and Bernice Moyer Clatterbuck. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Roberta Whitlow and Jean Brass.

He retired as chief claim officer with Norfolk-Southern RxR Corp. He also was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Louisa Cilento Clatterbuck; sons, Douglas Clatterbuck, of Orlando, Florida and David Clatterbuck, of Clarendon;  daughters, Diane White and husband, Dale, of Buchanan, Virginia and Connie Roop and husband, Malcolm, of Sharpsburg, Georgia; sisters, Francis Stetz, Phyllis Stetz and Betty Felice, all of Cleveland; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, 2015, at Seaside UMC where he was a member, by the Revs. Scott and Mary Jane Scott Wilson-Parsons.

The family request in lieu of flowers memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society-Wilmington Chapter, 2202 Wrightsville Ave., Suite 111, Wilmington, NC 28403.
