Adelaide “Addie” Norma Klis, of Wilmington, died Friday, June 5, 2015, at her residence. She was 91.

She was born in Brooklyn, New York on Jan. 3, 1924, the daughter of the late Ole F. and Dagny Ottesen Andersen. Also remembered is her husband, Christian Klis, who preceded her in death in 2002.

Addie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid golfer and was still playing into her early 80s. She was a nice and caring person and will be remembered for her kindheartedness, “unless you were the golf ball.”

Surviving are two children; a son, Gary Christian Klis and wife, Karen and a daughter, Norma Jeanne Klis and two grandchildren, Ryan Klis and wife, Lola and Alexander Klis.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel with a graveside service following at 1 p.m. at Oleander Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Mark A. Opgrand officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1406 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
