Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a South Carolina man wanted in connection with two break-ins reported last week in the Shallotte area.
Jason Lee Hanna, 31, of Ashepoo Creek Drive in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, injury to real property, misdemeanor breaking or entering and felony larceny, according to sheriff’s office spokeswoman Emily Flax.
Hanna is a white male who is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has brown and grey hair and brown eyes.

Ocean Isle Beach police search for suspect who stole safe
Detectives with the Ocean Isle Beach Police Department are investigating a theft reported at a Subway restaurant.
A safe and its contents were taken from a Subway at 113 Causeway Drive in Ocean Isle Beach sometime after 10:30 p.m. May 29, according to a notice from the police department. The suspect, or suspects, fled the scene with the safe. The next morning, an employee discovered that the business had been broken into and called 911.

Wilmington police are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run wreck that pinned a woman in between two vehicles, one of which was reportedly stolen.
Police responded to the wreck near the Travel Lodge parking lot, 4118 Market St., at 7:41 a.m. Wednesday, according to police spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay.
A woman was allegedly attempting to take the victim’s silver Audi from the parking lot. The victim came out of her room and ran after the vehicle, Lindsay said.
The Audi pulled onto Market Street, struck a vehicle and pinned the victim between the two cars, Lindsay said. Another vehicle that tried to pass the wreck was rear-ended by a black Lexus. The woman in the Audi got out of the car and left the area in the Lexus with a black male driver.
The victim was taken to Cape Fear Memorial Hospital to be treated for an injury to her ankle, Lindsay said.

Man charged with cocaine possession at Side Bar
A Wilmington man has been charged with possessing cocaine at Side Bar in downtown Wilmington.
Police were called to Side Bar, 18 S. Front St., at about 11:40 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a person seen with cocaine in the bar’s storage room, according to Lindsay.
Officers found 25-year-old Leslie Boyette in the storage room. He was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
