Margie Delaney, 92, desired to share her faith with all she met is your source for free news and information in the Wilmington area.

On May 28,2015, at the age of 92, Margie Delaney went to heaven.

She was loved and will be missed by her three children, five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, cousins and many friends. She will be joining her five siblings, mother, father, relatives and friends of many years. (What a day of rejoicing).

Margie’s life was filled with friends, loved ones, church activities and ministries too numerous to mention. Her recent ministries were directing a worship service each Sunday at Haddon Hall where she resided. She also kept busy by preparing food for residences who were in need. She had a heart for people and desire to share her faith with all she met.

Many thanks goes to those who visited mom at Azalea and for the wonderful nurses, assistants and aides who cared for her in such a loving way. No words can express the gratitude for the extra service you perform each day for those who can’t care for themselves. Also, our appreciation goes out to the hospice involvement the last week of her life. You provide a great service to those who are ending their time on earth.

Margie will be remembered and loved, but we take comfort from the Bible that gives us hints of a life we can’t see. We also take comfort in knowing that she is now with that great cloud of witnesses who are cheering for us to finish our race.

There will be a memorial service beginning at 11 a.m. June 20, 2015, at Margie’s beloved church of many years, Sunset Park Baptist, 231 Central Blvd., Wilmington. Another memorial service will be held on July 18, 2015, in Nashville, Tennessee with family and friends gathering around the graveside of our father.

Please leave online condolences for the family at Atlantic Cremation.
