Mrs. Louise Boney Hunter of Wilmington passed away Wednesday, May 27 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Facility. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Richardson Hunter Jr. and son, John Murrell Hunter of Timberlake, North Carolina.

She is survived by son, Jim Hunter ( Gela ) of Wilmington, and daughter, Julie Dockery (Hunter) of Winston Salem; daughter-in-law, Rae Marie Hunter of Timberlake, five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Louise was a choir director at Parkview Baptist Church in Durham and music teacher for 35 years in the Durham city schools. Music continued to be a large part of her life in retirement. She was a faithful wife and a loving, devoted mother. We will all miss her greatly!

A graveside service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Durham at 11 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2015.

In lieu of flowers send memorials to the music fund at Trinity United Methodist Church Wilmington, NC or Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center.
